Avatar Movie Trailer online
While I was doing some research this morning into Wii MotionPlus games. (for a post that is geting quite a bit of traffic on my Wii Blog) I saw that that the Wii game for the Avatar Movie by James Cameron will be Wii MotionPlus compatible…
A few clicks later and I find out that the movie is due to be released here in the UK in December 2009. The trailer is able to be viewed online, unfortunately without the 3D glasses. Check it out on the Youtube embed at the end of this post.
I’ve found out that James Cameron, of Terminator and Titanic fame, has been sitting on this project for years, until the technology was good enough for his 3D vision. Fed up of waiting, he’s co-developed the technology himself, which is a new generation of stereoscopic cameras. Basically, I understand that the camera, is 2 cameras together, almost like are 2 human eyes. This gives the viewer a deeper perspective and a true 3D image when watched through polarised 3D glasses.
For me as a Sci-Fi fan it looks pretty damn spectacular, and seems to be a massive jump in technology for movie goers. Here’s the trailer:
